Choose which allocation, preparation and check-in actions are available for serialised and bulk equipment in Opportunity Detail View.
Group Booking Blocker adds an optional setting under Warehouse & Logistics, with separate controls for Auto-allocate / Prepare and Check In. Settings Hub can also apply these choices to specific users.
What It Does
Adds a Group Booking Blocker master switch, which is off by default
Auto-allocate / Prepare has separate Serialised (Group Booking) and Bulk options
The Serialised (Group Booking) option blocks Auto-allocate, Allocate and Prepare when the selection includes a serialised Group Booking row
The Bulk option blocks those actions when the selection includes Bulk Stock
Check In has separate Serialised and Bulk options, covering both Check In and Bulk check-in selected
The Serialised Check In option covers serialised asset rows as well as Group Bookings
By default, Serialised (Group Booking) is selected for Auto-allocate / Prepare; Bulk preparation and both Check In options are off
All four options require the Group Booking Blocker master switch to be enabled
Greys out the matching actions in both the Actions dropdown and Action Banner, with a hover message explaining the restriction
Updates automatically as the selected items or settings change
Can be assigned to specific users through Settings Hub
How To Use It
Open Hub Settings and go to Warehouse & Logistics.
Enable Group Booking Blocker.
Under Auto-allocate / Prepare, choose Serialised (Group Booking), Bulk, both or neither.
Under Check In, choose Serialised, Bulk, both or neither.
Save your settings. If using Settings Hub, apply the required choices to the relevant users.
Open an Opportunity in Detail View and select the items you want to process.
If the selection contains a blocked stock type, the corresponding action will be greyed out. Hover over the action to see why.
Change the selection or your settings when the action needs to be available.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Mixed selections can make it easy to process Group Bookings, bulk stock or serialised returns unintentionally. Separate stock-type controls let you tailor allocation, preparation and check-in safeguards to the way each warehouse team works.
-
Get quick access to item actions beside the Detail View tabs whenever equipment is selected.
What It Does
Automatically appears when one or more Detail View items are selected
Mirrors the available item actions from the Actions dropdown, apart from transfer actions

Fits the action buttons into the available space and disappears when the selection is cleared
How To Use It
Open an Opportunity in Detail View.
Select the items you want to process.
Choose the required action from the banner beside the tabs.
Deselect the items when finished.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Common warehouse actions are available beside the working tabs, reducing repeated trips into the Actions dropdown. For configurable page-level Actions and Print shortcuts, use Quick Actions.

Adds Check Availability to the Hub dropdown
Includes Product search when opened from the Hub dropdown and excludes accessory-only products from those search results
Lets you select the hire start date
Lets you select the hire period
Allows the required stores to be selected
Opens the selected Product directly in its Availability view
Takes the selected dates and hire period through to the Availability view
Provides quick access without having to manually navigate to the Product record first
How To Use It
From a Product card, click Check Availability.
Select the start date, hire period, and required stores.
Open the Availability view to check the Product.
Or, open Check Availability from the Hub dropdown.
Search for the Product you want to check.

💡 Why it’s useful:
When a customer asks whether a particular item is available, getting to the right Availability view can take several clicks.
Check Availability gives you a much quicker route. Whether you’re already looking at a Product or working elsewhere in Current, you can select the dates you need and jump straight to the relevant Availability view, making those quick availability checks much faster.
-
Create multiple Activities quickly with a much simpler workflow, including recurring schedules, record linking, participant and type selection, and bulk imports.
Bulk Activities makes creating larger batches of Activities easier without needing to work out IDs or manually build dates. Activities can be created directly in Hub, scheduled to repeat, linked to records when required, or imported from CSV and Google Sheets.
What It Does
Creates multiple Activities in one batch
Supports recurring Activity schedules
Makes setting recurring dates easier without manually working out each date
Allows Activities to be optionally linked to records
Adds participant pickers for selecting the required people
Adds Activity Type pickers
Keeps batch controls pinned and accessible while working
Retains CSV imports for larger Activity lists
Retains Google Sheets imports
Makes the overall Bulk Activity creation process simpler and easier to follow
How To Use It
Open Bulk Activities.
Add the Activities you want to create or import them from CSV or Google Sheets.
Choose the Activity Type.
Select the required participants.
Link the Activities to a record if required.
Set up a recurring schedule if the Activities need to repeat.
Review the batch using the pinned controls.
Create the Activities when everything is ready.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Bulk Activities removes much of the manual work involved in creating larger numbers of Activities. Recurring schedules, participant and type pickers, and optional record linking make everyday creation much easier, while CSV and Google Sheets imports remain available when you need to create Activities in much larger batches.
-

How To Use It
Open an Opportunity in Detail View and review the Status Hub summary beside the tabs.
Use Hide Sub Rent when you want the summary to reflect equipment handled internally.
In the Job Planner, run Status Hub to load progress for the displayed jobs.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Warehouse and planning teams can see the stage of a job without checking every item or opening each planner card.
-
Choose familiar solid status colours and adjust how item Type and Status badges appear in the current interface.
What It Does
Provides separate General & Appearance settings for legacy Job Planner blocks, item status colours, and state/status icons
Includes solid colours for Checked In and Completed statuses
Adds a Type and Status settings cog beside the item headings
The cog can reduce pill size, hide icons, replace Type bubbles with coloured dots, and switch legacy colours on or off
How To Use It
Open Hub Settings and go to General & Appearance.
Enable the legacy colour options you want.
On an Opportunity, open the Type and Status settings cog for badge appearance controls.
Choose the size, icons and Type display that suit your workflow.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Clearer colours and adjustable badges make item types and warehouse statuses quicker to recognise, especially on busy jobs or smaller screens.
-
Choose whether the Opportunity header and allocation panel stay fixed while you scroll, giving you more control over the space available for your item list.
Scroll Lock adds simple padlock controls that let you decide which parts of the Opportunity page remain fixed and which scroll away with the rest of the page. Each choice is remembered separately, so Hub keeps the layout exactly how you prefer it.
What It Does
Adds a padlock control to the Opportunity header
Adds a separate padlock control to the allocation panel
Lock the header to keep it fixed while scrolling
Unlock the header to allow it to scroll with the page
Lock the allocation panel to keep it fixed while scrolling
Unlock the allocation panel to allow it to scroll with the page
Remembers the header and allocation panel settings separately
Keeps your preferred layout between visits
How To Use It
Open an Opportunity.
Click the padlock on the header to lock or unlock it.
Click the padlock on the allocation panel to control it separately.
When locked, the selected section stays visible while you scroll.
When unlocked, it scrolls naturally with the rest of the page.
Hub remembers each setting for the next time you return.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Fixed headers and panels can be useful, but on smaller laptop screens they can also take up valuable space and leave less room for the item list.
Scroll Lock gives you the choice. Keep the sections you need visible, or unlock them to maximise your working area, with Hub remembering your preference automatically.
-
Check item sales values, costs, profit and margin by hovering over the Charge Total, without opening the full item editor.
What It Does

Shows Sale, Cost, Profit and Margin when the required totals are available
Includes allocated supplier and service costs in the item cost calculation
Shows available cost-price details when complete financial totals cannot be calculated
How To Use It
Open an Opportunity and find the item’s Charge Total.
Hover over the total to load the financial details.
Review the sale value, cost, profit and margin where available.
Move away to close the hover information.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Pricing and cost checks stay within the item list, making it easier to spot low-margin lines while quoting or reviewing a job.
-
Reuse an existing Asset Number when replacing an individual serialised asset, with a review step before the old asset is renamed and written off.
How it works
• Adds a Stock Number Reuse toggle to Add Stock Level
• Detects a duplicate Asset Number reported by Current
• Loads the matching asset and asks you to confirm the archive number and write-off
• Only processes an unambiguous individual serialised asset; bulk stock and conflicting matches are rejected
• Frees the original Asset Number after the old asset has been successfully renamed
To use it
• Open Add Stock Level and turn on Stock Number Reuse.
• Enter the Asset Number for the replacement asset and submit as normal.
• If Current reports a duplicate, review the existing asset in the Hub popup.
• Confirm the archive number and write-off only when it is the asset you intend to replace.
• Continue creating the new asset with the original number.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Replacement equipment can keep an existing physical label or barcode while the original asset remains identifiable in the stock history.
-
Move scanned assets backwards through the warehouse workflow from the Allocate tab, either one status step at a time or directly back to Reserved.
How it works
• Adds a Scan to Revert toggle beside the Allocate scan controls
• By default, each scan reverts the asset one status step using its current status
• The Revert to Reserved checkbox instead returns the allocation to its Reserved Group Booking
• Queues scans and provides progress and spoken mode confirmations
• Turning Scan to Revert off restores normal allocation and clears waiting scans
To use it
• Open an Opportunity in Detail View and select Allocate.
• Turn on Scan to Revert.
• Leave Revert to Reserved unchecked for a single step back, or tick it to return directly to Reserved.
• Scan the required assets and review any warnings.
• Turn Scan to Revert off before resuming normal allocation.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Warehouse teams can undo preparation or allocation quickly without repeatedly selecting assets and working backwards through menus.
-
Find items, groups, assets and containers within a long Opportunity list without leaving the job.
How it works
• Adds a search field beside Items in Order View and Detail View
• Filters products and services as you type and shows a match count
• In Detail View, also searches Asset Numbers and container numbers
• A container match includes the container and its contents
• Clicking the search icon switches between item and group search; group matches include their contents
• Keeps matching parent structure visible and brings off-screen matches into view
To use it
• Open an Opportunity and use the search beside Items.
• Type an item name, or an asset or container number in Detail View.
• Click the search icon to switch to group-name search when required.
• Review the matching lines and their context.
• Clear the search to restore the full list.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Specific equipment and entire groups are easier to locate during quoting, prep and returns, even on jobs with hundreds of lines.
-
Check the Testing & Inspections Due list for assets already in Quarantine, with clear results and quick links for follow-up.
How it works
• Runs an on-demand quarantine scan across the due-inspection results

• Lets you hide or show quarantined rows in the due list
• Includes asset links and Quick Test access in flagged results
To use it
• Open Testing & Inspections Due.
• Click Scan Quarantine.
• Review the highlighted rows or open the flagged-item results.
• Use the asset link or Quick Test where appropriate.
• Use Hide Quarantined or Show Quarantined to control the due-list display.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Quarantined equipment is easier to recognise while planning tests, reducing the need to check each stock record manually.
-
Lock existing group prices or split an agreed pre-tax target proportionally across an Opportunity’s groups, with a preview before applying changes.
How it works
• Offers Lock groups at their current totals and Set a target opportunity total modes
• Adjusts group equipment values and reconciles rounding to the exact target
• Leaves ungrouped items unchanged
• Skips service-only groups unless Also deal price service groups is selected

• Sets group deal prices rather than deal-pricing the whole Opportunity
To use it
• Open Group Deal Pricing from the Opportunity Hub menu.
• Choose to lock current totals or enter a target total excluding tax.
• Choose whether service-only groups should also be deal priced.
• Review the group breakdown and any validation messages.
• Apply the proposed group prices.
💡 Why it’s useful:
An agreed budget can be reflected in a useful group-by-group breakdown without manually adjusting each group or losing track of rounding.
-
Assign colour-coded Area #Code badges to Opportunity Groups so equipment can be organised by stage, room or venue zone.
How it works
• Adds an Area #Code selector to Opportunity Groups
• Lets the organisation choose how many active codes to use, from 1 to 20
• Supports custom single-colour and two-colour combinations
• Shares saved colours and combinations across the organisation
• Allows an Area #Code to be reused on multiple groups
• Keeps existing historical assignments when the active code count is reduced
• Displays area markers in Order and Detail views
To use it
• Open the Area #Code settings and configure your active code count, colours and combinations.
• Edit an Opportunity Group and choose its Area #Code.
• Save the group to show the colour-coded marker beside the group and through its section.
• Use the same code on other groups belonging to that area if needed.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Warehouse, prep and onsite teams can recognise where equipment belongs without relying only on group names.
-
Adds dedicated warehouse notes to Opportunity Groups, giving warehouse and prep teams important group level information directly within Detail View.
How it works
• Adds a dedicated Warehouse Notes field to Opportunity Groups.

• Keeps group specific warehouse information clearly visible alongside the equipment.
To use it
• Open an Opportunity.
• Edit the required Opportunity Group.
• Add the information to the Group Warehouse Notes field.
• Save the group.
• The Warehouse Notes will appear beneath the group in Detail View.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Group Warehouse Notes gives warehouse and prep teams a clear place for instructions that relate to an entire group rather than an individual item. The notes are displayed directly beneath the group in Detail View, making important prep, packing, or handling information easy to see while working through the job.
-
Allows selected Opportunity Items to be returned directly to Reserved, without having to work backwards through each status individually.
How it works
• Adds a Revert to Reserved option to the Actions list.
• Returns selected items directly to Reserved in a single action.
• Bypasses the normal process of stepping backwards through each status one by one.
To use it
• Open the required Opportunity.
• Select the items you want to return to Reserved.
• Choose Revert to Reserved from the Actions list.
• The selected items will be returned directly to Reserved.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Normally, returning an item to Reserved means stepping backwards through each status until you eventually reach Reserved. Revert to Reserved removes those extra steps, allowing selected items to be returned directly to Reserved in one action, making corrections and changes much quicker.
-

💡 Why it’s useful:
Preparing Carnet information manually can be incredibly time consuming, particularly when a job contains large quantities of serialised equipment. Carnet CSV Export brings together descriptions, quantities, Asset Numbers, Serial Numbers, Country of Origin and Goods Type information automatically, while handling NSN values and bulk quantities correctly. This significantly reduces the amount of manual work required to prepare a Carnet and helps get the data into the correct format before submission.
-
Makes item descriptions easier to see by displaying them directly in the Opportunity Detail view.
This gives teams quick access to important item information without opening each line individually, while still allowing the descriptions to be hidden when you want a cleaner view.

• Can be quickly shown or hidden using the Hub menu.To use it
• Open an Opportunity in Detail view.
• Item descriptions will be displayed directly within the item list.
• Use the Hub menu to hide or show Description Notes as required.💡 Why it’s useful:

-
lets you remove jobs that don’t need to stay visible in the Job Planner, keeping busy schedules cleaner without deleting or changing the Opportunity.

-
Service Finalisation Reminder helps prevent services from being accidentally carried over when moving outstanding items to a new Opportunity.
By default, it’s easy to forget to complete services before moving outstanding items, which can result in services being transferred to the new Opportunity unintentionally. Hub adds a simple reminder before the move takes place.
How it works
• Checks for any unfinished services before moving outstanding items.
• Displays a reminder if services still need to be finalised.
• Gives you the chance to complete services before continuing.
• Helps prevent services from being moved to the new Opportunity by mistake. To use it
• Open an Opportunity in Current RMS.
• Choose Move Outstanding Items.
• If unfinished services are found, Hub will display a reminder.
• Complete the services or continue if appropriate.💡 Why it’s useful:
Stops one of the easiest mistakes to make when rolling jobs forward. Service Finalisation Reminder helps ensure completed services stay with the original job and only genuine outstanding items are moved to the new Opportunity.
-
Lets you reduce clutter in the Product Picker by hiding mandatory accessories while still automatically adding them to the Opportunity.
By default, mandatory accessories are displayed alongside every product, which can make the Product Picker busy and harder to navigate. Hub gives you the option to hide them while keeping the underlying behaviour exactly the same.
How it works
• Adds a Hide Mandatory Accessories option to the Product Picker.
• Hides mandatory accessories from the picker to keep the list cleaner.
• Mandatory accessories are still automatically added when the parent product is selected.
• Remembers your preference, so you only need to set it once.To use it
• Open the Product Picker.
• Enable Hide Mandatory Accessories.
• Browse and add products as normal.
• Mandatory accessories will still be included automatically when the product is added.💡 Why it’s useful:
Creates a cleaner, easier-to-use Product Picker without changing how mandatory accessories work. You get less clutter, faster product selection, and the confidence that required accessories are still being added behind the scenes.
-
Apply a minimum hourly call while adding or editing a service on an Opportunity, keeping charge and cost hours aligned when a short booking falls below the minimum.
How it works

-
Hide Rate Definition in Picker simplifies the Product & Service Picker by removing rate descriptions such as “3 Day Rate” or “Week Rate”, while still displaying each item’s price.
By default, Current RMS shows the rate definition alongside every item, which can make the picker feel cluttered. Hub gives you the option to hide these labels for a cleaner, easier-to-read picker.

• Keeps the item price fully visible.
• Makes the picker cleaner without affecting pricing or functionality.
To use it
• Open Hub Settings.
• Enable Hide Rate Definition in Picker.

By matching filenames to Product IDs, Asset IDs, or Asset Number barcodes, it eliminates repetitive manual uploads while validation, automatic resizing, and retry support help ensure every image ends up on the correct record.
-
Keeps linked Opportunity and Purchase Order item costs in sync by detecting price changes and asking whether the matching item should also be updated.
How it works
• Detects when the cost price of a linked item changes on an Opportunity.
• Detects when the cost price of a linked item changes on a Purchase Order.
• Prompts whether the matching linked item should be updated.
• Automatically updates the corresponding price when confirmed.
• Works regardless of whether the change is made on the Opportunity or Purchase Order.
• Helps keep linked item costs consistent throughout the workflow.
To use it
• Edit the cost price of a linked item on either an Opportunity or Purchase Order.
• When prompted, choose whether to update the matching linked item.
• Confirm the update.
• Both records will remain synchronised.

When a supplier is set on a Sales item, Hub automatically clears the red shortage highlight.
The item is marked with an S badge so you know it’s been allocated to a supplier.
Hover over the S badge to instantly see which supplier it’s linked to.
To use it:
Open your Opportunity in Current RMS.
Assign a supplier to any Sales item.
Watch the red shortage highlight clear, replaced with an S badge showing the supplier on hover.
💡 Why it’s useful:
No more manual checks — you can instantly see which shortages are already handled, saving time and reducing errors.
-
When you add a Text Item to an Opportunity, you’ll be given the option to “Show as Shortage?”. If enabled, the line will display as Short in the Opportunity item list until it’s marked as a Subhire.
How it works:
Add a Text Item to your Opportunity.
Tick Show as Shortage? when creating the line.
The line is flagged as Short in the item list.
Once the item is set as a Subhire, the Short flag clears automatically.
You can toggle this feature in Settings → Show Text Item as Shortage.
To use it:
Open an Opportunity in Current RMS.
Add a Text Item.
Tick Show as Shortage? if you want it highlighted.
Mark it as a Subhire when it’s covered — the Short flag will disappear.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Ensures text-only notes (like “extra kit” or “special requests”) stand out in the item list until they’re actioned, so nothing is overlooked.
-
Choose whether a substitute should keep the quoted item’s price or use the replacement Product’s price.
How it works
• Adds Quoted price and New product price choices to the substitution workflow
• Uses the source item’s price when Quoted price is selected
• Lets you opt for the alternative Product’s price instead
• Can be enabled or disabled through Substitute Price Match in Hub Settings
To use it
• Enable Substitute Price Match if required.
• Choose Substitute or Select Alternative Product for an Opportunity item.
• Select the replacement Product.
• Choose Quoted price or New product price and review the pricing before completing the change.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Equipment can be swapped while deliberately controlling the price, reducing manual corrections and unexpected quote changes.
-
Generate a QR code for the current Opportunity so it can be opened on a phone or tablet.
How it works
• Adds a QR button beside the Opportunity Print controls in the current interface
• Displays a scannable code for the current Opportunity URL
• Provides a Close button for dismissing the popup
To use it
• Open an Opportunity in Current RMS.
• Click the QR button beside Print.
• Scan the code with your mobile device.
• Open the link and sign into Current RMS if prompted.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Move from a desktop to the same job on a mobile device without retyping or sending the URL.
-
Auto-Balance takes care of your item return maths automatically — so totals always add up, and nothing needs adjusting by hand.
How it works:
When you update the quantities for Damaged, Lost, or Returned items, the remaining field adjusts automatically to keep the total correct. No pop-ups, no extra clicks — it just happens instantly.
Works for both Rental and Sale items.
To use it:
Open your Opportunity in Detail View.
Edit your item returns as usual.
Watch the numbers balance themselves in real time.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Auto-Balance keeps your figures accurate without breaking focus — so you can spend less time correcting maths and more time moving kit.
-
Keeps your deal and replacement prices clean and error-free, no more “Deal Price is not a number” messages.
How it works:
When you type or paste a price, Hub_ automatically removes unwanted characters like £, commas, spaces, and even converts colons (:) into proper decimal points.
Your numbers are instantly formatted and ready to save — no failed price updates, no confusion.
Applies automatically to:
Deal Price fields
Replacement Charge fields
To use it:
Just open a pricing window, paste or type your value — Hub_ handles the rest.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Price Input Cleaner prevents formatting errors before they happen, saving you time and keeping your prices consistent across every job.
-
Let Hub_ work out the maths so you don’t have to.
Tweak any line’s Charge Total and Hub_ instantly calculates the correct discount and saves it straight into Current RMS — no manual math, no guessing, no tapping buttons back and forth.
What it does:
Type directly into the Charge Total on an Opportunity
Hub_ recalculates the correct % discount automatically
Discount is saved into Current RMS in real time
Works with multi-day pricing, quantities, and rental rates
Auto-selects the number for fast edits
Hides the RMS hover popover so it doesn’t get in the way
Prevents invalid discounts and always uses the true full price (Price × Qty × Days)
💡 Why it’s useful:
A simple time-saver when tidying quotes, adjusting pricing, or finalising jobs.
Just type the number you want, Hub_ handles everything else.
-
Hide sensitive pricing and cost information while working in Current RMS — perfect when you’re on site, travelling, or using shared machines.
With Hide Costs enabled, Hub_ removes sales values and pricing figures from view so you can work comfortably without worrying about who might be looking at your screen.
How it works
The Hide Costs toggle in Hub_ settings instantly hides sales and cost information.
Sales order values are removed from the dashboard.
Cost, revenue, and profit panels are hidden on Opportunity pages.
Pricing columns, totals, and the Costs view button are removed to prevent accidental exposure.
All data remains unchanged — this is purely a visual hide.
To use it
Open Hub_ settings.
Enable Hide Costs.
Continue working as normal — pricing and cost figures will be hidden from view.
Disable Hide Costs at any time to restore visibility.
💡 Why it’s useful
Work safely in public spaces, on site, or in busy warehouses without exposing sensitive figures.
It’s especially handy when using shared user accounts or machines accessed by multiple people.
-
Get instant, unmissable inspection status when viewing stock items in Current RMS.
The Inspection Banner_ displays a clear, colour-coded banner at the top of each stock level, showing the current inspection state at a glance — so there’s no guessing, no digging, and no missed issues.
What it shows
When viewing a stock item, Hub_ automatically checks its inspection data and displays one of the following states:
🔴 FAILED inspection
⚠️ OVERDUE inspection (with days overdue)
🟠 Inspection DUE SOON (within 14 days)
🟢 Inspection PASSED (with days remaining until due)
Each banner clearly states:
Inspection type (PAT, LOLER, etc.)
Status (Failed, Overdue, Due Soon, Passed)
Relevant timing (days overdue or days remaining)
How it works
Hub_ reads the latest inspection and due date from the stock level
The banner appears automatically when viewing the item
Colours and wording change dynamically based on status
No data is modified — this is a visual alert only
💡 Why it’s useful
Spot failed or overdue inspections instantly
Prevent untested kit being prepped or sent out
Remove ambiguity when checking stock under pressure
Ideal for busy warehouses and fast-paced prep days
-
Require Delivery and Collection Dates adds a smart checkpoint when saving an Opportunity, helping ensure key scheduling information isn’t missed — without blocking progress when flexibility is needed.
When enabled, Hub checks that both Delivery and Collection dates are filled in before saving and clearly prompts the user if anything is missing. You can optionally configure it to skip this requirement for Customer Collecting / Customer Returning jobs.
How it works
When an Opportunity is saved, Hub checks for Delivery and Collection dates.
If one or both dates are missing, a warning popup is shown.
The popup explains what’s missing and gives two options:
OK — return to the Opportunity and add the missing dates.
Ignore & Save — continue saving without dates if needed.
An optional setting allows you to skip this check for Customer Collecting or Customer Returning jobs, where delivery or collection dates may not be required.
This keeps users aware of missing information while still allowing intentional exceptions.
How to use it
Open Hub Settings.
Enable Require Delivery and Collection Dates on Save.
(Optional) Enable Skip requirement for Customer Collect / Return jobs.
Edit or create an Opportunity.
If delivery or collection dates are missing, Hub will prompt you when you try to save.
Choose whether to add the dates or intentionally save without them.
💡 Why it’s useful:
This feature dramatically reduces missed delivery and collection dates, one of the biggest causes of warehouse and transport issues, while still allowing flexibility when dates genuinely aren’t known yet. Optional customer collect/return handling means the rule fits real-world workflows instead of forcing one-size-fits-all behaviour.
-
Keep eligible Non-Stock kit and package parent lines in step with their accessories during allocation, prep, book-out and check-in.
How it works
• Only processes Non-Stock parents whose name includes kit or package
• The Auto prep Non-Stock Kits option covers parent allocation, preparation and book-out as accessories reach the required stages
• A separate Auto check-in Non-Stock Kits setting handles completed accessory returns
• Ignores stock parents and parents that do not meet the naming rule
To use it
• Open Hub Settings under Warehouse & Logistics.
• Enable Auto prep Non-Stock Kits and/or Auto check-in Non-Stock Kits.
• Ensure the parent is Non-Stock and its name contains kit or package.
• Process the accessories as normal in Detail View.
• Review the parent status as its accessories reach the required stage.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Non-Stock kit headers are less likely to be left behind while the equipment underneath moves through the warehouse workflow.
-
Opportunity Editor adds live, inline editing to key fields across the Opportunity page, letting you update important job details instantly without opening edit screens or breaking your workflow.
What you can edit
Hub allows live editing of:
Start Date
End Date
Chargeable Days
Subject
Customer Reference
Edits are saved straight back to Current RMS as you make them.
How to use it
Open an Opportunity.
Click directly into an editable field.
Update the value.
Changes are saved automatically.
💡 Why it’s useful
Opportunity Editor removes friction from everyday admin. It’s ideal for quick tweaks to dates, chargeable days, or references, keeping Opportunities accurate and up to date without opening separate edit pages or interrupting your flow.
-
Lock Book Out until all items are Prepared adds a safety checkpoint to the Book Out process, ensuring nothing leaves the warehouse before it’s properly prepared.
When enabled, Hub_ automatically blocks Book Out actions until every item on the Opportunity is in a prepared-ready state, helping prevent missed prep, part-prepared jobs, and costly warehouse mistakes.
It’s designed for busy real-world workflows where it’s easy to click “Book Out” too early.
How it works
When an Opportunity is open, Hub_ continuously monitors the status of all items.
Before allowing Book Out, Hub checks that every item is in a valid prepared state.
If any item is not prepared, Hub:
Disables Book Out buttons and links
Shows a clear inline warning explaining why Book Out is locked
Displays a branded Hub_ popup if a locked Book Out action is clicked
(Optional) An override option can be enabled in settings for experienced users who understand the risks.
Once all items are prepared, Book Out is automatically unlocked — no refresh needed.
What it affects
Quick Book Out button
Book Out links in the Opportunity
Any Book Out action triggered from the page
The lock updates live as item statuses change.
To use it
Open Hub Settings.
Enable Lock Book Out until all items are Prepared.
(Optional) Enable Allow Book Out Override if you want a manual bypass option.
Open an Opportunity.
Prepare items as normal.
Once all items are prepared, Book Out becomes available automatically.
💡 Why it’s useful
This feature prevents one of the most common warehouse errors, booking out a job before everything is actually ready.
-
Hear item confirmations while Free Scan is in use, with separate controls for voice prompts, barcode shortcut feedback and sound effects.
How it works
• Reads newly scanned item names aloud when Free Scan voice prompts are enabled
• Provides an on-page voice control beside the scanning workflow
• Barcode Shortcuts can also announce mode, container and removal actions and scan warnings
• The optional Sound Effects setting provides distinct tones independently of spoken prompts
To use it
• Enable Free Scan voice prompts in Hub Settings under Warehouse & Logistics.
• Open Allocate in Opportunity Detail View and turn on Free Scan.
• Use the voice control to mute or restore item-name prompts.
• Scan equipment and listen for confirmation; review any on-screen warning as well.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Audible feedback helps warehouse users confirm scans while handling equipment and makes it easier to notice a scan that needs attention.
-
Book out equipment automatically after successful allocation, with or without Free Scan.
How it works
• Adds a toggle beside Mark as prepared in the Allocate controls
• Shows Book out on Allocate during normal allocation and Book out on Free Scan when Free Scan is enabled
• Starts switched off
• Books out the successfully allocated item through the normal book-out workflow
• Keeps the normal allocation and book-out validation in place
To use it
• Open Allocate in Opportunity Detail View.
• Enable Book out on Allocate, or turn on Free Scan and enable Book out on Free Scan.
• Scan equipment and review the resulting item status.
• Turn the option off when you want to allocate without automatically booking out.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Equipment can be allocated and booked out within the scanning workflow, reducing a separate manual step during loading.
-
Convert a Product-backed Rental or Sale line into a free-text line from the Opportunity Order View.
How it works
• Adds Convert to Text to eligible item row menus in Order View
• Recreates the line as a Text Item and removes the original after confirmation
• Retains supported details such as the name, description, quantity, price and discounts
• Removes the Product stock link; the resulting Text Item can still carry a charge
• Does not make the line free of charge or hide it from documents automatically
To use it
• Open the Opportunity in Order View.
• Open the item row menu and choose Convert to Text.
• Review and confirm the conversion.
• Check the resulting text line’s price, description and quantity.
• Adjust discounts or document visibility separately if required.
💡 Why it’s useful:
A quoted line can be retained as editable free text when it no longer needs a Product stock link, while preserving the commercial details that still matter.
-
Switch an existing Text Item between Rental and Sale transaction types without manually rebuilding its details.
How it works
• Adds a conversion button when editing an existing Text Item
• A Rental text line can be converted to Sale, and a Sale text line to Rental
• Recreates the line after confirmation and retains supported quantities, descriptions, pricing and structure
• The result remains a Text Item; conversion does not link it to a catalogue Product or create stock
To use it
• Open an existing Text Item in the Opportunity item editor.
• Click Convert to Rental or Convert to Sale, according to the current type.
• Review and confirm the conversion.
• Check the resulting line and pricing.
• If you need real stock, add the appropriate catalogue Product separately.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Free-text charges can be corrected from Rental to Sale or back again without re-entering all the line details.
-
Hub allows you to edit Containers directly inline from the Opportunity Items list in Detail View, with support for multi-select bulk updates.
By default, Current RMS requires opening each item individually to adjust container assignments. Hub removes that friction.
How it works
• In Detail View, the Container column becomes editable.
• Click directly into the container field to change it without opening the item.
• Select multiple rows to apply the same container update in one action.
• Changes are applied instantly, keeping your job structure clean and accurate.
To use it
• Open an Opportunity and switch to Detail View.
• Click into the Container field next to any item to edit it inline.
• Use multi-select to highlight multiple items.
• Apply the new container assignment in one step.
💡 Why it’s useful:
When building or adjusting jobs, container changes are common, especially during warehouse prep. Inline editing and bulk updates dramatically reduce clicks, speed up setup, and keep your workflow moving smoothly.
-
Remember the last Transaction Type used when adding Opportunity or Purchase Order items.
How it works
• Restores the last selected Transaction Type when adding another item
• Stores separate preferences for Opportunities and Purchase Orders
• Persists the choice across item additions rather than only within one form
• Can be controlled with Remember last Transaction Type in General & Appearance settings
To use it
• Enable Remember last Transaction Type in Hub Settings.
• Add an Opportunity or Purchase Order item and choose the required Transaction Type.
• Add another item of the same record type.
• Review the preselected type and change it whenever needed.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Repeated Rental or Sale entry needs fewer manual changes, while separate preferences keep Opportunity and purchasing workflows independent.
-
Review equipment weights directly on Opportunities, with group totals, accessory totals and a floating summary.
How it works
• Shows each item’s unit and quantity weight, plus group and parent-with-accessories totals
• In Detail View, uses Current’s native weight information and summarises Reserved, Allocated, Prepped and Booked Out weights
• Includes container weights where available
• Provides a floating weight summary from the Hub menu
• Lets you click a linked Product weight to edit and save it
• Shows normal and filtered weight comparisons when Hide Sub Rent is active
• Also provides Show Weight in the Purchase Order Hub dropdown
To use it
• Choose Show Weight from the Opportunity or Purchase Order Hub menu.
• Review the inline weights and totals.
• On an Opportunity, use the floating summary to inspect the warehouse-stage breakdown.
• Click a Product weight to correct it when required.
• Use Hide Sub Rent to compare the full and filtered weights.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Picking and transport teams can identify missing or incorrect weight data and understand how equipment weight is distributed through the job.
-
See item-status quantities for a specific Product against the Opportunities shown on Product Bookings and Availability pages.
How it works
• Runs on demand from Product Opportunity Status or the Product Status Run control
• Shows per-Product quantities for Checked In, Booked Out, Reserved, Allocated, Prepared and Completed where present
• Can also show Prep/De-prep and other returned status labels
• Describes that Product’s bookings within each Opportunity, rather than the overall job status
To use it
• Open the Product Bookings or Availability view.
• Run Product Opportunity Status from the available Hub control.
• Review the status quantities beside the displayed Opportunities.
• Open a job when you need more detail.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Availability and shortage investigations become quicker because you can see whether the relevant Product is reserved, prepared or out without opening every job.
-
Download Product images in a batch, with a choice of descriptive filenames or Product-ID-only filenames.
How it works
• Downloads Product images into Downloads/Hub Product Image Export
• Defaults to downloading active Products only, with an option to include inactive Products
• Keeps the existing descriptive filename format by default
• Offers Use product ID only for filenames, such as 1764.png
• Shows export progress and any download results
To use it
• Open Product Image Export from the main Hub menu.
• Choose whether to download only active Products.
• Tick Use product ID only for filenames if you need ID-based image matching.
• Click Download all images and review the progress.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Product photos are easier to reuse for catalogues, websites, backups and later ID-matched image imports.
-
Review monthly revenue, cost, profit and gross profit margin in a Dashboard tile, with a detailed sortable job breakdown.
How it works
• Uses the Current RMS Profit report for the chosen month
• Includes eligible Open, Active and Completed jobs and can optionally include Quotations
• Displays Turnover, Profit and GP % on the Dashboard
• Opens job-level Revenue, Cost, Profit and GP % columns with sorting
• Provides an Owner filter and recalculates totals for the filtered jobs
• Respects P&L access controls
To use it
• Enable Show P&L Forecast Tile in Hub Settings under Opportunities & Finance.
• Open the Dashboard and choose the month in the P&L Forecast tile.
• Choose whether Quotations should be included.
• Open the job breakdown to inspect or sort individual results.
• Use the Owner filter to review the relevant jobs and their recalculated totals.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Monthly performance and quotation pipeline can be reviewed quickly, while the job breakdown helps explain the totals and identify low-margin work.
-
Child Item Discount Sync keeps kit pricing consistent by automatically applying parent item discounts to all child items.
By default, changing a parent discount in Current RMS does not update accessories underneath it. That can lead to mismatched totals, missed lines, and unnecessary manual adjustments. Hub fixes that.
How it works
• When enabled, any discount change on a parent item is automatically applied to all of its child items.
• Works with kit and package structures.
• Keeps pricing aligned across the full item tree.
To use it
• Open Hub Settings.
• Enable Child Item Discount Sync.
• Change the discount on a parent item , child items will update automatically.
💡 Why it’s useful:
No more manually adjusting every accessory. No more totals that don’t make sense. Just clean, consistent pricing across the whole kit.
-
Apply a percentage discount to editable Purchase Order items, either across the whole PO or within selected groups.
How it works
• Adds Set Discount to the Purchase Order Hub dropdown
• Accepts a discount from 0 to 100%
• Lets you choose which PO groups to include
• Updates editable item discounts and reports updated, skipped or failed rows
To use it
• Open the Purchase Order and its Hub dropdown.
• Select Set Discount.
• Enter the discount percentage.
• Select the groups to include.
• Click Apply Discount and review the completion message.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Supplier discounts can be applied consistently across many lines without editing each Purchase Order item individually.
-
Edit an Opportunity item’s description, warehouse notes and supplier notes from a focused popup.
How it works
• Adds an Add Notes / Edit Item workflow to Opportunity item menus
• Provides separate Description, Warehouse Notes and Supplier Notes fields
• Includes Use Product Description for pulling in text from the linked Product
• Allows the Warehouse Notes area to be adjusted while editing
• Shows saved warehouse-note information beside items for quick review
• Keeps the popup open when clicking outside it so work is not dismissed accidentally
To use it
• Open the item’s row menu and choose Add Notes / Edit Item.
• Enter the required Description, Warehouse Notes or Supplier Notes.
• Use Product Description if you want to start from the linked Product’s description.
• Review the text and save the changes.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Different kinds of instructions stay separate and are quicker to maintain without opening the full item editor for every note change.
-
Multi-Select Item Line Editing lets you quickly update multiple items on an Opportunity at the same time.
By default, Current RMS requires editing each line individually when adding notes or updating suppliers. Hub adds a simple multi-select workflow so you can apply changes across many items in one action.
How it works
• Hold Shift and click order lines to multi-select items (highlighted in orange).
• Apply notes or supplier updates to all selected items at once.
• Optional accessories can also be included in the update.
To use it
• Open an Opportunity in Order view.
• Hold Shift and click the order lines you want to select.
• Selected rows will highlight orange.
• Apply your notes or supplier update, the change will apply to all selected items.
💡 Why it’s useful:
No more updating lines one by one. Multi-select editing makes bulk updates fast and consistent, saving time when managing large orders.
-
Vehicle Load Tracker adds a simple way to organise and track vehicle loads directly from the Book Out and Functions tabs.
As items are scanned and booked out, Hub can assign them to a selected vehicle and automatically calculate the total load weight for that van. It also detects items that become Booked Out indirectly, such as container contents, ensuring the load total reflects everything leaving the warehouse.
You can also plan loads in advance by selecting items in the Functions tab and adding them to a vehicle before the booking-out process begins.
How it works
• Adds a Vehicle Load Tracker tool to the Book Out and Functions tabs.
• Assign scanned items to a selected vehicle.
• Automatically calculates the total load weight per van.
• Detects rows that switch to Booked Out after a scan.
• Includes container contents and linked items, not just the directly scanned item.
• Items can also be added manually from the Functions tab using Add to Load.
• A Vehicle column appears when items are assigned, showing which vehicle each item is on.
• Clicking the vehicle name in the column lets you quickly move the item to another vehicle.
• Use View Items to quickly see the detailed list of everything assigned to a selected vehicle.
• Allows you to print a load report once vans are loaded.
• If a vehicle goes overweight, Hub gives a clear verbal warning so it can’t be missed.
To use it
• Open an Opportunity and go to the Book Out tab.
• Launch Vehicle Load Tracker.
• Select the vehicle you are loading.
• Scan items as normal — Hub tracks and totals the load automatically.
Or:
• Open the Functions tab.
• Select the items you want to load.
• Use the Functions dropdown → Add to Load.
• Choose the vehicle to assign those items to.
• Use View Items to check what is currently on each vehicle.
• When loading is complete, print the vehicle load report if needed.
💡 Why it’s useful:
When loading multiple vehicles, it’s easy to lose track of weight and what’s actually on each van. Vehicle Load Tracker keeps everything visible in real time, helping warehouse teams balance loads, plan transport earlier, and avoid dispatch surprises.
-
Multi Item Select makes it much easier to work with multiple Opportunity items at once.
Instead of editing items one by one, Hub now allows you to select several lines together and perform actions across all of them in a single step.
How it works
• Hold Shift and click order lines to multi-select items (highlighted in orange).
• Apply notes or supplier updates across all selected items at once.
• Optional accessories can also be included in the update.
• Use Delete Selected to quickly remove multiple lines.
• Includes a Copy and Paste tool to duplicate selected items into other groups or items.
To use it
• Open an Opportunity in Order view.
• Hold Shift and click the items you want to select.
• Selected rows will highlight orange.
• Use the available actions to add notes, assign suppliers, delete, or copy and paste the selected items.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Managing large orders often means repeating the same action across multiple lines. Multi Item Select removes the repetitive clicking and lets you update groups of items instantly.
-
Hide from Quote makes it easy to keep internal only items off client-facing documents.
Instead of manually editing document layouts for each line, Hub lets you mark individual Opportunity items or whole groups as hidden from client quotes in a single click.
How it works
Enable Hide from Quote in Hub settings and save once.
Hub creates the Hide from Quote Opportunity Item custom field in Current RMS.
Each Opportunity item menu gains a Hide from Quote action.
Clicking it marks that item as hidden from client-facing documents.
If used on a group, all child items in that section are marked too.
Client-facing document layouts can then ignore any item where hide_from_quote == 'Yes'.
To use it
Open an Opportunity in Order view.
Open the action menu on an item or group.
Click Hide from Quote.
The row will be marked as hidden. The action changes to Show on Quote so you can restore it. Shift-selected item rows can also be hidden or restored together.
Update your client-facing document layouts to exclude items where item.hide_from_quote == 'Yes'.
Leave internal warehouse or ops documents unchanged if you still want those lines visible there.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Quotes often contain backup gear, internal accessories, or warehouse only lines that help operations but confuse clients. Hide from Quote keeps those items available internally while keeping client documents clean and clear.
Document edit (simple method)
Open your Current RMS document template and go to the Body tab.
Find the line that loops through Opportunity items:
{% for item in order.items %}
Then add the following lines directly underneath it:
{% if item.hide_from_quote == 'Yes' %}
{% continue %}
{% endif %}
So the start of the loop looks like this:
{% for item in order.items %}
{% if item.hide_from_quote == 'Yes' %}
{% continue %}
{% endif %}
This tells the document to skip rendering any item marked Hide from Quote while leaving everything else unchanged.
Please visit the document support page for full details.
-
Keep navigation, search and quantity entry within easy reach in the Show Picker.
How it works
• Adds a fixed control bar for switching groups and searching
• Keeps common picker controls available while working through a long list
• Prevents negative quantity entry and accidental mouse-wheel quantity changes
• Provides picker options to hide mandatory accessories or zero-availability items
• Hidden mandatory accessories remain included when their parent Product is added
To use it
• Open Show Picker on an Opportunity.
• Use the fixed controls to move between groups or search for Products.
• Choose Hide Mandatory Accessories or the zero-availability filter if required.
• Enter quantities and add items as normal.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Large kit lists are quicker to build with less scrolling, cleaner results and fewer accidental quantity changes.
-
Edit invoice line values and descriptions, apply discounts in bulk, and delete selected invoice items together.
How it works
• Provides inline editing for supported invoice item fields and descriptions
• Adds bulk discount controls with selected-row and section targeting
• Supports Shift selection of multiple invoice rows
• Includes multi-delete from the invoice item action menu
• Shows validation and processing feedback for bulk changes
To use it

• Click a supported value or item description to edit it inline.
• Use Shift selection when targeting multiple rows.
• Apply the required discount to selected rows or sections.
• For removal, choose the selected-item delete action and confirm the items to delete.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Invoice corrections can be made across several lines with fewer repeated edits while still reviewing the selected items and sections.
-
Apply a 100% discount to new Opportunity item lines created through Free Scan, with an optional Hide from Quote flag.
How it works
• Adds Free Scan Zero-Price beside the Free Scan controls
• Only discounts newly created job item lines from the scan
• Leaves pre-existing lines and their prices unchanged when allocating against existing bookings
• Can also mark new lines Hide from Quote when that option is enabled
• Document hiding requires layouts that honour the Hide from Quote field
To use it
• Open Allocate and enable Free Scan.
• Turn on Free Scan Zero-Price.
• Choose the Hide from Quote option if your document layouts support it.
• Scan the additional equipment.
• Review the new line’s discount and document flag before issuing paperwork.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Warehouse additions can be made free of charge without unintentionally changing the pricing of equipment already on the job.
-
Show Only Shortages lets you instantly filter an Opportunity down to just the lines that matter when dealing with shortages.
Instead of scanning through a full job, Hub isolates shortage items along with their related structure, so you can clearly see what’s affected and act quickly.
How it works
• Filters the Opportunity to show only shortage lines.
• Includes related parent and child items for full context.
• Highlights shortage rows for quick visibility.
• Works as a toggle, so you can switch between full view and filtered view instantly.
To use it
• Open an Opportunity.
• Click Show Only Shortages from the Hub menu.
• View only the shortage lines and their related items.
• Click again to toggle back to the full list.
💡 Why it’s useful:
When a job has lots of lines, shortages can get lost in the noise. Show Only Shortages cuts straight to the problem, making it faster to review, plan, and fix issues without digging through the entire Opportunity.
-
Check asset quarantine during scanning and optionally validate temporary container contents against the equipment still needed on the job.
How it works
• Quarantine protection covers Allocate, Prepare and Book Out scans, including Free Scan
• Blocks quarantined assets and provides on-screen and spoken warnings
• Adds a Scan Check panel with separate Quarantine and Container Check controls
• Optional Container Check compares temporary container contents against remaining job quantities on Allocate
• Can block an unneeded container or excess quantities and works with the CONTAINER barcode shortcut
• Provides an explicit override workflow when the user chooses to proceed after reviewing a warning
To use it
• Open Scan Check from the Opportunity Hub menu.
• Review the master protection and Quarantine settings.
• Enable Container Check if you want temporary container validation.
• Scan equipment normally and read any warning before proceeding.
• Use an offered override only after reviewing the flagged asset or container.
💡 Why it’s useful:
Problems can be caught at the scan point, helping teams notice quarantined equipment and container contents that do not match the remaining job requirements.
-
See accessories already attached to a Product while adding more, with quantities, modes and edit links in the same view.
How it works
• Adds an Existing Accessories panel to Add Accessory
• Shows existing accessories in newest-first order
• Displays Qty, Product and Mode
• Provides quick Edit links and a Refresh control
• Helps identify an accessory that is already attached before attempting to add it again
