Dan Ridd

Dan is the creator of Hub, a Chrome extension that adds practical tools to OnRent Events (formerly Current RMS). After years of using the platform in the events world, he began building Hub to address the repetitive tasks and gaps he encountered in day-to-day work.

His work with Clearsound Productions keeps Hub connected to the realities of planning, preparing and delivering events. The modules reflect that experience, covering transport planning, warehouse preparation, shortages, returns and document output.

Dan remains hands-on with both development and the detail behind each workflow, from company settings to how information is saved against a job and restored when it is reopened. He also works on Hub’s documentation, with an emphasis on clear explanations that reflect how the modules actually work.

He spends his time developing new modules, refining existing features and supporting the Hub community. He’s also lucky to have the support of his partner, Laura, who puts up with his very early starts and late nights when inspiration strikes for a new Hub idea.

When he’s not coding, Dan’s often out on site with Clearsound Productions or at home working on his aquariums, from discus tanks to his latest Betta breeding project.
